MY BOOK

Rotation diets are nothing new, but mine is based on the "Stone Age Rotation Diet" developed by Dr Jonathan Maberly and Dr Honor Anthony and staff at the Airedale Allergy Centre at Steeton near Keighley. Sadly, the clinic had to close its doors to inpatients due to a lack of NHS funding and there is now an out-patients only clinic in Keighley run very competently, by Dr Econs, ( following the retirement of Dr Maberly and Dr Anthony). This diet has proved invaluable to our family. It can help yours too. I have expanded it to include every type of food I could think of that is reasonably easy to get hold of in this country. The initial setting up of the diet may seem daunting at first as food family members are kept to separate days of the rotation to make it easier to identify which ones are causing you problems.

I am not making any claims to provide a cure for allergies in my book.  I wrote it out of a desire to help other allergy sufferers to recognise their symptoms for what they are,  and to help them to overcome a lot of the difficulties  they face in getting treatment.

A rotation diet, if used  correctly, can help to identify which foods are causing your particular symptoms and help you to choose suitable substitutes in order to hopefully, still get a balanced and nutritionally adequate diet.  This will involve keeping a dairy of you daily intake of food  and drink and any unpleasant symptoms you may have later.
